Q. What's the difference between a
Valuation, Home Buyers Report and Building Survey?
Time and experience of the surveyor (assuming
the correct type of surveyor is carrying out the survey!)
Valuation - typically six to ten a day
about half an hour at each property - remember this is five days
a week 52 weeks a year.
Home Buyers Report - two to three hours
including writing up and checking using standard phrases often carried
out by valuers whilst doing a valuation.
A Typical day:- one Home Buyers Report
and two to four valuations, usually two or three a week and then
valuations as above.
Building Survey - one day at the property
say three a week, possibly
some design and extension work or site supervision.
