We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Buckingham. Buckingham is a town which is situated in Buckinghamshire
In between Milton Keynes and Banbury is the town of Buckingham flanked by the A43 to the west and A5 to the east and the A421, A413 and A422 all running through the town. Buckingham is a hilly, mainly Georgian town nestling in a loop of the river Ouse. Buckingham dates back to Saxon times and the town was once granted a charter by legendary Alfred the Great. Buckingham has many Georgian buildings in the town and a unique Old Town Gaol and Town Hall. We have often surveyed buildings in the market town of Buckingham has many historic buildings and originally was the county town of Buckinghamshire although this was taken over by Aylesbury and has markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The gallows still remains at the centre of Buckingham and there is a medieval well St Rumbold's Well which once had a conduit house built above it. There are several delightful old buildings in the town including the 12 th century Chantry Chapel with its carved Norman doorway, the Georgian Old Town Hall, the Old Gaol which houses a museum in the High Street, the maze of winding lanes and narrow streets with many attractive buildings and the Manor House which is a half timbered Elizabethan construction with an infant cherub carved at the side of the building. As a Surveyor when visiting the town we often take time to marvel at the Elizabethan Twisted Chimney House next to the Manor House built with specially shaped Tudor bricks.
If you are planning to book a building survey on a property you are purchasing in Buckingham or the surrounding area then we would like to assure you that we always send a suitably qualified and experienced surveyor to carry out the job. This ensures that you get expert advice on any issues that we may find with the property we are surveying. All our surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS - and are Independent Building Surveyors. Being 'independent' means that they are working for you and you alone; they do not work for a mortgage company or an estate agents, so they have your best interests at heart.
All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
