We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Datchet. Datchet is a town which is situated in Berkshire
Just outside Windsor is the village of Datchet close to Home Park and The Queen Mother Reservoir in the county of Berkshire where we frequently visit to carry out building surveys. Today Datchet is a commuter village being so close to London and during Tudor and Stuart times in the past it was popular with royal courtiers and wealthy London merchants as they too were appreciative of the village's location being so close to both Windsor and London . Datchet has an oldie worldie charm with its delightful period buildings and an old oak tree at the heart of the village which was planted in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria 's golden jubilee together with the erection of a Jubilee Cross. There are some beautiful properties including Datchet House on London Road which is a splendid example of a grand Georgian dwelling built in 1748 with a cottage next to the entrance of the Cricket Club having been in the past the gardener of Datchet House's cottage. The house is interesting in that it was formerly a three storey dwelling which was typical of the Georgian period but the top floor was removed when the film star Laura la Plante lived in the property in the 1930s.

All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls.
