We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Forest Green. Forest Green is a town which is situated in Surrey.
The Surrey village of Forest Green can be found at the junction of Ockley Road and Holmbury Road/Horsham Rd (B2126 and B2127). Dorking and Leatherhead are to the north and Horsham to the south of the village with Guildford to the north west and Crawley to the south east making this another popular commuter area.
Local stone was used in the past for buildings in the area and this can be seen on Tillies Cottage which is 15 th century and has a Horsham stone slab roof. There are many delightful older properties in the area including the old Parrot Inn at the bottom of Leith Hill which is over four hundred years old and has a broad front beer garden which overlooks the Village Green. The old Forge is on the north side of the Village Green in Ockley Road it was rebuilt in the 1990s and today, unlike the past when it was a busy smithy for the local farmers, it produces decorative work. Next to the forge is The Forge and Dragon Galley which has some fine examples of iron art including furniture, ornaments, lighting etc with it open each day of the week excluding Sundays.
The small parish church of the Holy Trinity is charming and was built at the end of the 19 th century in memory of their eldest son by Charles and Christina Hensley who was shot whilst rabbit shooting using local Surrey bricks.
As Surveyors we are frequently in the area carrying out both residential and commercial building surveys and note its great road links to the A40 and M40 making this a popular and sought after location.
If you are planning to book a building survey on a property you are purchasing in Forest Green or the surrounding area then we would like to assure you that we always send a suitably qualified and experienced surveyor to carry out the job. This ensures that you get expert advice on any issues that we may find with the property we are surveying. All our surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS - and are Independent Surveyors. Being 'independent' means that they are working for you and you alone; they do not work for a mortgage company or an estate agents, so they have your best interests at heart.
All our surveys contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
