We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Sudbury. Sudbury is a town which is situated in Suffolk.
As Surveyors we carry out Building Surveys, both residential and commercial, in Sudbury and have often travelled down the A134 from Bury St Edmunds. We always enjoy our time spent in this area of Suffolk . Located in the valley of the River Stour, Sudbury is an ancient market town and still has existing markets that l trade on Thursdays and Saturday and a farmers market once a month.
There are many interesting buildings with beautiful architecture to see in Sudbury that particularly appealed to us as Surveyors. Probably the most famous building in the town is the former home of artist Thomas Gainsborough. Gainsborough was born in the town and his home is now the site of a museum that is open to the public. The house dates originally from the 15th century but has four periods of architecture visible within it. Sudbury has an interesting mix of architecture, including Georgian, Victorian and timber framed Tudor properties to see
After finishing our building surveys and home buyer reports we visited St Peters church. Near to this is the drinking trough made famous by Dodie Smith in her novel the 101 Dalmatians. This is where the Dalmatians famously stopped for a drink of water whilst trying to escape from Cruella de Ville!
Sudbury is also a lovely town for shopping, especially North Street, as it has a combination of small specialist shops with high street names. It also has a good range of a cafes, pubs and restaurants. At the end of a busy day carrying out building surveys we always enjoy sampling the local produce and the friendly hospitality on offer.
In our line of work as Surveyor we saw some beautiful period properties whilst carrying out residential and commercial building surveys in Friar Street , Stour Street and Ballingdon Street.
If you are planning to book a building survey on a property you are purchasing in Sudbury or the surrounding area then we would like to assure you that we always send a suitably qualified and experienced surveyor to carry out the job. This ensures that you get expert advice on any issues that we may find with the property we are surveying. All our surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS - and are Independent Building Surveyors. Being 'independent' means that they are working for you and you alone; they do not work for a mortgage company or an estate agents, so they have your best interests at heart.
All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
